After a Century of Industry Stagnation... Print E-mail

The last major development in the water cooling industry occurred in 1912 when the Halsey Taylor Corporation introduced a compressor-driven water cooler, replacing the 20-pound blocks of ice used to cool drinking fountains at the time. Remarkably, this primitive technology is still in use today despite wasting hundreds of dollars per unit per year and accounting for unnecessarily large portions of a building’s energy consumption.

A conventional water cooler or drinking fountain can consume more energy per year than a large refrigerator. In areas with high electricity prices, each unit can cost hundreds of dollars per year to run. With rising energy prices and state building codes requiring at least one drinking fountain for every 50 to 70 people in a public building, these costs add up quickly.

When assessing the relative energy efficiency between conventional water coolers (not including The Green Cooling Group models), the Department of Energy found the difference in energy consumption across other companies’ products (Elkay, Tri Palm International LLC, Acorn and Sunroc) to be “negligible” and consequently did not issue a recommendation for any one model. These companies, therefore, compete on price rather than performance. The Green Cooling Group water coolers, by contrast, beat competitors on both price AND performance.

Making the Difference

The Green Cooling Group Core

At the heart of every one of our products is The Green Cooling Core. The Core utilizes high performance technology, intelligent microprocessors and innovations in materials science to achieve unprecedented performance dramatically reduce the energy consumed by our products.

Adaptive Cooling

The Green Cooling Core also features the world's first water cooler with adaptive cooling. Each Core learns about its environment and self-calibrates for optimal performance in every installation. Consumers can save even more money when less energy is required to convert temperature. All Green Cooling Group fountains offer adaptive cooling as standard and can be fitted with special features to accommodate multiple temperatures.

Simplicity

A remarkable feature of our technology is its effortless simplicity. With only 3 moving parts, the Core is much more reliable and durable than conventional coolers and features greatly enhanced life-spans. Additionally, Green Cooling Group coolers are turn-key cooling solutions that can be effortlessly installed with no need for additional plumbing or fittings. This simplicity translates into a reliable, hassle-free water cooler that is easy to fit and easy to fix.

Design

The Green Cooling Group Core is a silent and petite technology. The whole unit is small enough to fit inside a shoebox. Its diminutive size significantly enhances architectural and design options. Our sleek models eliminate the bulk and noise characteristic of conventional coolers that can enhance rather than detract from décor and can be features in their own right.

Simply Smarter Cooling

The Green Cooling Group takes a smarter approach to cooling. We offer advanced solutions targeted at helping clients profit while taking the lead in environmental stewardship. Water cooler manufacturers have missed the mark for far too long, relying on stagnant technology that is unable to meet modern demands for efficiency and which unnecessarily wastes valuable money and energy. The Green Cooling Group combines efficiency with economy, durability with design and revolutionises the entire cooling experience
